I like to compose in Cakewalk Sonar, usually with the pencil. I don't really have much training in how to music notate- I did some on the side in high school orchestra class, but that was more than I just started doing it. I don't know how I know to write music. I learned to _read_ music as an afterthought with some non-Suzuki teachers. That must have been enough to write it. "If you can walk, you can dance" and all that.
