This song was a labor of love for my then-friend Britney Brimhall. It was for her western adventure game, Al Emmo and the Lost Dutchman's Mine. The song itself was a nice fit for the game, a quiet sunset for the Mayor as he relaxed in his mansion. When she first heard it she said "It's like adventure game music on steroids!" But her programmer partner pitched a tantrum when I said his screechy voice shouldn't be the main character's, and he demanded I be excommunicated from the project. So it was all for naught!
I did a lot of other voice casting and recording work on that project that was never properly credited due the fallout. Oh well, "hard work is its own reward".
A song from the wild west town of Anozira. A small virtual orchestra: flute, clarinets, oboes, trumpets, french horns, some snyth pads. My favorite part is in the second half where the theme lifts a chord up high, and then the pad overtones hold that note a while.
